ABOUT

Straight out of 1930s Shanghai come picturesque visions of enchanting flappers, sinful pleasures, and ultimate decadence. The heaving, pulsing city was reigned over by abundance. Ritzy restaurants, fancy jazz clubs and smoky opium dens were filled with glamor girls in rich fabrics and dazzling jewels. For island6's 60th exhibition, the artists are opting for grandiosity. In Goddamned Shanghai, hot bunnies and cool jazz capture the true essence of Shanghai-style indulgence in a series of dazzling multimedia artworks. Join us and step back in time- put on your felt hat, and let us lead you to a den of extreme pleasures and absolute debauchery. (read more >>>)
