A sphere inside the mind guides the membrane of the flesh through doorways, conscious of height and width, and up rickety stairways, conscious of weight and balance. It's a sense of the space we occupy when driving a truck or moving a ladder. But from where do we watch the space we occupy in someone else's life? To prod with a gentle comment is to run over with a truck. To turn away with an ambition resting over the shoulder is to unintentionally knock over a vase of another's emotions and throw shattered hopes across the floor of the mind.
